Great property. Amazing staff and customer service. Everyone was incredibly friendly. The property was impeccably maintained. The food does lack variety, especially for vegetarians. I do need to bring f awareness to amajor concern was that we witnessed a man have a stroke in the water and they pulled him to shore but did not a defibrillator. Another guest did CPR until staff took over. It was over 30 minutes before medical personal arrived it was too late for a defibrillator. He was blue when finally transported and he passed. It was horrific to whiteness such a devastating situation. The lack of proper medical assistance was a concern. Going forward asking about medical resources will be on my checklist. Our prayers to this man and his family.

This was our third time staying with XLA and it was great, again. We love the ocean view rooms, the dining options and the hotel amenities, but the friendly staff are the reason we keep coming back. Everyone is very helpful and friendly, and the staff and servers at the pool are great. Many thanks to all of the staff for making our stay enjoyable, and special thanks to Miguel, Jonathan, Juan, Wilbur and Eileen. The evening entertainment is also very good. We will be back again.

Enjoyed the Riu parties that they shuttle you back/forth to for free. The buffet was good. Never waited long for seating at the dinner options. Beach was nice and it was private so no one trying to sell you things.

Marie at Reception was the standout star of our stay at Riu. From day one until our departure, she consistently went above and beyond, going the extra mile to ensure our needs were met. Her dedication, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel truly valued, setting a high standard for customer service that defined our entire experience. The rest of our stay was equally impressive. Santiago (Italian and Steakhouse), Vivian (Krystal), and Nick (Buffet) provided excellent service in the restaurants. The staff's hard work was evident throughout the resort. Comfortable accommodations in our remodeled room with an outstanding view of the sea, well-maintained grounds, and a range of amenities complemented the outstanding service. Riu exceeded our expectations, offering a perfect blend of luxury and attentive care, making it highly recommendable for a memorable Caribbean getaway.

The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious. Only issue is constant dampness in the room. Nothing ever dried. Bathing suits remained wet the entire time.

The riu las americas was an excellent vacation spot for adults only. When the weather was warm enough the pool was wonderful. The pool activity staff does a great job day in and day out. The only thing I would recommend is to have some jacuzzi’s because the only one in the spa is not that warm. For adults on vacation, time in a jacuzzi is priceless.

Best resort I have been to so far in cancun. The beach is small but has the least amount of seaweed, the best buffet options, and the closest to downtown. The restaurants putside of th buffet were not for me personally, there was minimal options as far as entrees and a lot had seafood in it. This resort is adults only so I liked that there were not kids all around me and I had the option to go to the other related resorts for free and enjoy the younger crowd if wanted.

It was nice,clean, good food, good service. If you are on the inside facing the ocean, there is tremendous noise at night from the stage area until like 10 or 11 pm so don't count on an early bedtime. You can hear it loudly inside your room with drapes closed. It was really annoying.

The property, service and cleanliness was excellent. Abu, the bartender at the bar off the lobby was the best!! I’ve never seen a bartender run a bar solo like he does. He is also kind, funny and converses with his customers. Edgar is a waiter who we had the pleasure of having him serve us a few times. He was very efficient, remembered our food and drink preferences and very friendly!
