"Plusses: Service was excellent. Pool was very nice. Breakfast was good. Location away from busy street was nice. Plenty of hot water for showering. Minuses: Room needs serious updating. One mattress was saggy. Bed quilts shouted 1970. Two of the nights we had swarm of flying bugs (termites) visit the inside of the room. Saw them climb behind moulding. Didn’t make for a restful night’s sleep."

"I enjoyed the lay out of the property. The pools were nice and clean. The staff was incredible. The location was fantastic if you want to be close to the action but not right in the middle of it. Also we saw Macaw’s, Iguanas and monkey’s along with other wild life right from our patio. Also there is an incredible secluded beach within just a short hike from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for the price. "

"We stayed for one night in chalet no.1 and loved it. The property is well appointed and pretty isolated with a lovely outlook over the Gulf of Nicoya. Being close to the River Tárcoles and Carara NP, there is plenty of wildlife and we saw scarlet macaws flying overhead in the evening. Laura met us at the entrance and showed us round our chalet which was clean and quite luxurious with two large beds, kitchenette, large bathroom with pleasant, natural views yet private and secluded, and a patio...

There was a good eatery close to the hotel for pm eats. Ok facilities for an overnight stay. Jaco itself is very seedy. Casinos, prostitution, etc. It is what it is. Will avoid this area in the future. All things said, had a good night's sleep, a/c, pool, hot water and a great dinner at Koko's."

"Well, where do I start!I have had the best time! The place is so peaceful and beautiful, the perfect place to rest and recharge with nature. The service was really approachable and professional. "Stayed in Jaco for a weekend. The staff at the hotel was extremely nice and made for a comfortable stay. The room itself is nice, modern, and clean. The pool was a decent size.The location was also so perfect, just a 2 minute walk to the beach, and about a 15 minute to the center of Jaco. Loved my stay!"

Communication from Villas De La Selva was excellent with Simon setting up a tour for us and providing important information.
