"Convenient position near many things to do but very peaceful as off the main road with a beautiful view. Lots of birds especially macaws. Four units in a row with a shared pool so good for travelers who like some social interaction. Hosts were wonderful and we would stay there again."

"The place is a rental property rather than a hotel. The host Carla was very friendly and responsive. The view was amazing. However, the property could use some serious work. There were holes on the wall, stains on the couch, splashes on the kitchen window shades, mold or stains on bathroom ceiling. The bathroom sink doesn’t work. Walls are paper thin that you can hear everything from the next door neighbor. The bedroom AC doesn’t work properly, that it doesn’t cool and was very noisy. The...

"This hotel is Amazing. If you want a tranquil and peaceful place close to Jaco Beach, this is the place. Beautiful pools, nice rooms and good Breakfast. Geiner was very friendly and helpful. He even suggested visiting some waterfalls close by even though we didn’t have the time to do this."

"We stayed at this beautiful oasis for only a night and wish we were here longer. We were greeted by Eric who was pleasant, accommodating and gave us some great recommendations for food in the area. The pool area was well maintained and clean. The rooms were large and overlooked the pool area; the room had working air condition and was very quiet so we slept well. "The view was amazing with Macaw's and Toucan's right out side our room. The location is great with the National park 5 minutes one way and restaurants 5 minutes the other way. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Room was clean and nicely decorated. It is a steep hill up to the location but it is paved. Pool could use some cleaning, but otherwise this was a wonderful location. "

Awesome property and perfect host

"We had an amazing time at Casa Sammie. Patri was amazing. She communicated ahead of our trip to make sure we had everything we needed to easily find the house and check in. She gave us local recommendations for some groceries to help us throughout. She also would have been a great resource for excursions and adventures, but we had booked some stuff before we arrived. She also gave us awesome little tips along the way which made our vacation seemless. She was very responsive anytime we had a question about something. This will be #1 on our shortlist when we are back in the Tarcoles area. We loved it. Oh, the house…haha. The house was great. We had scarlet macaws flying overhead. At night when they were nesting, we counted 30+ flying overhead in pairs. It was quite an experience. The house had everything we would need. The AC helped on the hot and humid days, the pool was a great way to relax, and the WiFi was fast. "

Luxury ocean view condo with comfy tub & shared pool

Beautiful place but needs some fixes

"The place is absolutely divine, love the location, serenity and local floral and fauna, but the unit had some really issues. Before I get into those, I asked for early check in weeks in advance because our flight was arriving at 8:30 in the morning. Caught a bus here and when we arrived, they said no early check in, no place to hang out for a few hours, and to come back at 4:00. No matter what we tried, they said absolutely not, come back at 4:00, so we went to a nearby town, brought all of our luggage to the restaurant and hung out there until 3:30, then had to call an Uber, which cost us additional money after already paying for a chartered bus. The unit was beautiful, but had some real issues. First off, the front door lock was being held together by black tape and wasn’t secure, we caught 9 large wasps in one of the bedrooms, the blender didn’t work, which sucked, especially since I had already loaded it with fruit. The TV remote didn’t work and when we requested a new one, there was no response. The manager was somewhat responsive but took a long time to respond on WhatsApp until the last day. I would definitely stay here again, but would highly recommend that these matters be resolved."
