"We came to stay one night with two rooms for a family. This place is cute and the room was conveniently laid out. The pool is small but perfect for kids to play in. We had some questions when we arrived that were answered immediately. We would stay here again."

"We truly enjoyed our 3 weeks at Villa Fortuna in Costa Montana near the town of Tarcoles along the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica. Costa Montana is a gated community with 24/7 security. The views are breathtaking! All 3 bedrooms overlook the Pacific Ocean and the rainforest below. The drive up the mountain is not for the faint of heart. It is STEEP - a 4 wheel drive is an absolute must. The last section up to Villa Fortuna is a 22 degree grade with 3 switchbacks. If you like to walk be prepared for very steep inclines. The house is very comfortable with 3 floors, 3 large and comfortable bedrooms (with a 4th small overflow bedroom). Breakfast at the outdoor table just off the kitchen was our opportunity to see toucans/macaws. The Sonos sound system which feeds music to the pool, den or family room was excellent. The BBQ area was perfect for eat at home nights. We requested a cleaner to come in weekly and she was excellent and very affordable. The pool and patio overlooking the Pacific and rainforest below were the absolute highlight of our stay. Not everything in the write up is accurate. There is no fresh fruit on the property as stated. There are a number of typos. There is only 1 bathroom (not 2) serving two bedrooms on the third floor. The property does not have a direct sunset view - the sun sets behind the rainforest. "The place was just fantastic, it had everything yet a minimalistic feel to it. The trek up the hill is a bit high but you get used to it. Now let's get to what I thought was THE MOST fantastic view of the gulf! Your could sit there for hours in awe of this view. The pictures do not do capture this, you really need to be there to view it in all its glory. Don't think about it, just go for this property. On top of that Edgardo the manager and the owners Frank and Sammy were great with communication. Highly Highly Recommend!"

"We had an amazing time at Casa Sammie. Patri was amazing. She communicated ahead of our trip to make sure we had everything we needed to easily find the house and check in. She gave us local recommendations for some groceries to help us throughout. She also would have been a great resource for excursions and adventures, but we had booked some stuff before we arrived. She also gave us awesome little tips along the way which made our vacation seemless. She was very responsive anytime we had a question about something. This will be #1 on our shortlist when we are back in the Tarcoles area. We loved it. Oh, the house…haha. The house was great. We had scarlet macaws flying overhead. At night when they were nesting, we counted 30+ flying overhead in pairs. It was quite an experience. The house had everything we would need. The AC helped on the hot and humid days, the pool was a great way to relax, and the WiFi was fast. "

"The place is absolutely divine, love the location, serenity and local floral and fauna, but the unit had some really issues. Before I get into those, I asked for early check in weeks in advance because our flight was arriving at 8:30 in the morning. Caught a bus here and when we arrived, they said no early check in, no place to hang out for a few hours, and to come back at 4:00. No matter what we tried, they said absolutely not, come back at 4:00, so we went to a nearby town, brought all of our luggage to the restaurant and hung out there until 3:30, then had to call an Uber, which cost us additional money after already paying for a chartered bus. The unit was beautiful, but had some real issues. First off, the front door lock was being held together by black tape and wasn’t secure, we caught 9 large wasps in one of the bedrooms, the blender didn’t work, which sucked, especially since I had already loaded it with fruit. The TV remote didn’t work and when we requested a new one, there was no response. The manager was somewhat responsive but took a long time to respond on WhatsApp until the last day. I would definitely stay here again, but would highly recommend that these matters be resolved."
