This is was my third visit to Jaco and have stayed at The Best western each time due to the amazing staff / service / food and it is located directly on the beach. There is nothing like seeing a Jaco Beach Sunset while have drinks on property or watching from the beach.

We went for a wedding so the whole party stayed there out of convenience for first time travelers. Overall the property was beautiful, rooms were okay, buffet food was the same pretty much everyday with slight variety made but the food was good. The resort was very safe, most of the staff spoke English. Not much of a full service all inclusive but we were happy to stay there.

Second time staying and it was great! The food is excellent, pools are spotless clean, and the room was dated but super clean. The staff was very friendly. The only issue we had (same as the first time), we had to ask for maintenance twice after waiting a long time to come and fix our safe. But all good and would definitely stay again and recommend!

It's a cheap resort. You get what you pay for and personally we decided we will never be going to a Best Western again even if it has the best priced option. While we figured it would not quite be as luxurious as other all-inclusives, we were not prepared for exactly how poor quality of an experience it would be. VERY little is included in this "all inclusive". Rooms were clean but very minimal, rock hard beds that gave us back pain, no comforter on bed, just a single sheet and throw blanket folded on a shelf. One very basic painting as well so overall, the room had more of the vibe of a hospital than a resort. The beaches and pool were lovely, great views, again clean but there was a strict towel limit, no umbrellas or cabanas, not enough beach chairs and the few chairs provided were basic plastic, no cushioning. There were excursions and laundry services advertised but they cost money which is quite frustrating at a self-proclaimed "all-inclusive". The snack bar and alcohol were all very cheap and simple foods, the cocktails weren't bad but weren't great either. There is also no choice of restaurants for meals, just one buffet and the food was horrible, mass-produced, most of it probably frozen, all very dry and very little flavor. Keys also frequently deactivated which was frustrating. We saved money but would never come back and wish we had paid more for a better experience at a different resort. Very dissatisfied.

I didn't like anything. Check in was a total confusion, no explanation of the property, etc. Pool areas and towel use, restaurant area and hours, no explanation at all of any amenities, arrived a little early they wanted to charge even tho I still couldn't get my room . The only hotel staff that was pleasant was the girl when i checked out. The wait staff was never smiling or friendly. The food was the worst food i had tasted in my 3 weeks in costa rica. I stayed 2 days and had another reservation for 3 more but i canceled and moved locations. I had another stay booked for February and also canceled that one

I stayed two nights and housekeeping never came to my room to clean, even though I personally spoke to her to please clean and change the bedding, that was in the morning I returned to the hotel at 6 pm and the room was the same as I left the room

Area around the hotel was somewhat dirty. The receptionist was very rude. But I liked the all exclusive food and drinks. Please remember, the sidewalks aren’t flat around the hotel. So you could twist your ankle. In my case, I fell down and heart my knee. Although my knee was bleeding, the receptionist did NOT offer to help and simply ignored me without any help and didn’t offer to let me use the first-aid kit either. Again, Terrible receptionist, terrible attitude and finally very rude.
