"Loved my two night stay , hotel and facilities really good and in a good central position with almost direct access to the railway station. I chose the sidings annexe but would stay in the main hotel in future. The bar and lounges very nice for alcohol in evening and coffee in the morning. Breakfast also very good."

"The annexe was beautifully clean - carpet in the main area rather than the hard flooring that many properties have these days - (although I understand why as it's probably easier to clean than carpet) however, that made it very cosy & so warm. "Nice area and friendly welcome from the owners. Lot of building work at the rear of the property which was very noisy first thing in the morning which probably worth noting on the website. Property was reasonable but lacking in ventilation as the bedroom window was defective as was the skylight. Overall our stay was fine however if those mentioned shortfalls were addressed it would be a 5 out of 5"

"What a fantastic stay at The Carpenters cottage. The hosts Helen and Patrick were so warm and welcoming and Patrick also has an amazing workshop you can have a look at. We came to stay for my birthday to watch a band at the arts centre, and had such a wonderful time. Everybody was so kind and generous. The cottage was very comfortable, super clean and warm.
