"Loved the facilities, the pool, jacuzzi & steam room. I deducted one star was because the pool was shut for one of the days i stayed & the lodge is totally cashless, though the staff were very understanding that i only had cash on the first day & waited to take the room deposit. Friendly & helpful staff, with a lovely housekeeper who was especially generous with the biscuits & hot chocolate! Would definitely stay again."

"My teenage children and I stayed just one night at the Greyfriars Lodge. It has a great, central location and the host, Sanjeewa, was very welcoming and helpful. Beds are very comfy too! Recommend this hotel for a short break. It is in need of some renovation but for a short time it is very acceptable."

"As an IBS sufferer, I always carry my own toilet roll which was good in this case as when I arrived, there wasnt any in my bathroom. Also as I stayed in the room closest to the entrance, I did fid it was quite noisy/I could hear lots through the walls. However, there is a polite notice in the information booklets to ask other memebers staying to be qieuter after 10pm. I did really enjoy the bed, had an excellent sleep.
