"After reading some of the negative reviews we were very pleasantly surprised. Staff were helpful and attentive and actually went above and beyond. Overall the property is a little dated and and in one of our rooms the tv wasn't working properly and in another the the lightbulbs needed replacing but it's clean, the beds are comfy and it's close to town. Would definitely stay here again."

"Great location,just 2 minute walk from York minster and the city. Nice double room, en suite. Impeccably clean and tidy. Breakfast was fantastic, selection of fruit,cereals yoghurt etc. and a full English. Limited amount of parking available which was a great bonus. Highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Seemed to be a few returning guests whilst I was there,which is no surprise. And finally, what fantastic hosts in Alan and Julie.
