"Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming."

"We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. I loved how the room included a washer for our dirty clothes. It was really convenient since our total trip to Japan was 15 days. The location of this hotel was also located near this really cute shopping street with a bunch of food places. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Very traditional ryokan and very clean. The rooms were a decent size and the area was quiet. The staff offers you a book with recommendations such as dining and sight seeing attractions as well as how to get there by bus or transit. The ryokan also offers breakfast and other services for a fee, but the breakfast we had was amazing. They also have a bath you can rent for the hour which was a life saver after walking all day. "I enjoyed our stay very much overall. The property itself is very good and the staff is exceptional. I personally didn’t care for the location of the hotel. While nothing was extremely far away, restaurants were limited unless you wanted to walk 10-15 minutes. Last time I was in Kyoto we stayed at a small hotel in Gion, which was just more convenient for us, given our particular needs. "

"We loved our stay here. The room was spacious with the most beautiful hot tub and comfortable beds. The pillows were super bouncy and it was like a home away from home. It was so close to locals and encouraged us to explore side streets and local restaurants. We found the best Indian Curry house tucked away and hidden. We used buses and walked.
