"Enjoyed staying here! Quiet and comfortable. I think it would be a lot easier to get around if stayed in Gora though. Also didn’t realize it was a shared bath (no shower/bath in room) but it was nice. There is also an additional fee you have to pay at the property for the bath (hot springs). "

"Hotel hard to for taxis and a cleaning schedule is not something westerners will be use to. Subway quite close. Self check in. Dark in room as walls are painted very dark colour. Room had king size bed. Quiet hotel even im beside the elevator"

"We arrived after dark via taxi and were surprised at the incredible location and architecture. This is an authentic Japanese experience— tatami floors and comfortable futon mats!! We knew we would be magically surprised in the morning and we were! It’s nestled up on the hillside with an incredible view of Mt Fuji! "Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"The owner, Koji, was helpful and kind. No frills place but it clean, some amenities and a good, hot shower. Good value and we’d definitely stay there again. "

"lili kyoto is not a typical hotel. It is small — three units on the ground floor, probably about the same on the floor above (I didn’t take the elevator up to check). It is totally unstaffed; to get in the front door you must obtain a code from the owner/manager. I got mine by having a nice lady in the Kyoto railway station tourist office call the owner/manager, who promptly emailed instructions. The front “lobby” and hallway are unheated. "It’s my first time staying in a hostel with shared toilet and bathroom facilities. It was a good experience as everything is clean and there are only 5 rooms at this place. It’s just diagonally across the station. You get beautiful views of mt Fuji from just standing outside. "
