"We arrived after dark via taxi and were surprised at the incredible location and architecture. This is an authentic Japanese experience— tatami floors and comfortable futon mats!! We knew we would be magically surprised in the morning and we were! It’s nestled up on the hillside with an incredible view of Mt Fuji! "Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Provided what we needed at request. We wish was that in them knowing we had a vehicle, that they were able to direct us to a nearby parking lot with affordable pricing. The signs are confusing at times. We ended up paying ¥3400 the first night for overnight parking and ¥6100 the second night in the nearby lots. Other than that, the room was clean except a little black mold near the AC unit. Deep. cleaning could be better. Happy with our 2 night stay...

"lili kyoto is not a typical hotel. It is small — three units on the ground floor, probably about the same on the floor above (I didn’t take the elevator up to check). It is totally unstaffed; to get in the front door you must obtain a code from the owner/manager. I got mine by having a nice lady in the Kyoto railway station tourist office call the owner/manager, who promptly emailed instructions. The front “lobby” and hallway are unheated. There is no breakfast buffet, no vending machines, none...

Good hotel with onsen facilities

"Right at Haneda airport; good if you have an early morning flight to catch. Lots of convenience stores for breakfast and many restaurants. I tried the onsen; it was great but I didn't know we should wear/bring along the outfit provided in the hotel room; in any case, the outfit provided is too big. They did provide some near the hotel lobby but it would be better to provide outfits at the onsen itself for hotel guests as I had to wear my dirty clothes back to the room after the onsen. "

"PROS Very cozy room but plenty of space under the bed for storing baggage. Lots of useful information on the TV home screen (WIFI password, checkout details, room cleaning schedule, public bath crowd size, etc.) Multiple power outlets, including USB. Quick walk to train stations. Unbeatable choice if attending a sumo match at the nearby stadium. Also perfect for visiting the Edo-Tokyo Museum when it reopens after the renovations conclude. Excellent Lawson convenience store located on the second floor. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. DRAWBACKS - Taller folks might find the bathroom module challenging. - Not enough elevators for the number of people in such a large hotel usually trying to reach the lobby at checkout time. - Stairs only for emergencies above the second floor. "

"Another wonderful hotel our family had the pleasure of staying at during our Japan adventure trip! Top-notch hotel with good value! Updated with plenty of amenities and conveniently located near Tokyo Sky Dome. Comfortable beds, pajamas, and clean rooms. The best part of it all were the hotel staff; incredibly courteous, friendly, and attentive to our needs. As visitors from US, we felt so welcomed. We truly appreciated all the assistance with navigating our trip ( ie hotel check in, travel/food advice, ordering us our taxi to the Narita airport). We highly recommended this hotel! 5/5 stars! "
