"I enjoyed our stay very much overall. The property itself is very good and the staff is exceptional. I personally didn’t care for the location of the hotel. While nothing was extremely far away, restaurants were limited unless you wanted to walk 10-15 minutes. Last time I was in Kyoto we stayed at a small hotel in Gion, which was just more convenient for us, given our particular needs. "

It was so close to locals and encouraged us to explore side streets and local restaurants. We found the best Indian Curry house tucked away and hidden. We used buses and walked.
