Kyoto Ohara Ryokan Seryo
5/5 Excellent
"The highlight of staying in Kyoto. This ryokan is going towards more of the countryside of Kyoto in Ohara but it is definitely worth spending a couple nights in. Yes it is farther away from the main tourist temples but honestly it is so much nicer staying here away from all the tourists and finding hidden gems within Ohara where there are hardly any tourists. The rooms themselves were so serene and peaceful. The onsens always feel amazing especially after long days exploring temples and gardens. The staff and service were beyond accommodating and friendly. My wife had dietary restrictions and they were more than happy to accommodate. Breakfast and dinner is included with each night which is so lovely not having to worry about what to eat for dinner when it is already provided. Our room had a nice view of the garden and koi fish swimming around. I can't say enough about how great it was to stay here and I would highly recommend to anyone I know to stay here. You will receive a unique Kyoto experience from everyone else if you stay here and will never forget! Thank you to the staff, you have made our visit to Japan incredibly memorable."
