"Our stay at Piece hostel was wonderful! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the staff was great and the location was right next to the market making for lots of dining options and things to do. The only thing I’d advise is to bring ear plugs- the walls are quite thin and with it being a hostel people are up all hours of the night being quite loud. Otherwise a perfect experience! "

"The owner was so sweet and polite, took the time to explain the area and the busses/subways and how to get to all the popular areas! Bonus was the guard cat who always greeted me when I got back later in the evening 😁"

"The room is larger than it looks on the photo. Our family of 4 has a lot of space to move about and even a living room /dining area. The location is walkable distance from Kyoto Station but do prepare a walk for a bit, but it's also quiet, good for resting after a day of touring /shopping."

"I was so pleased with Hostel Mundo! It has the style of a traditional Japanese home, with all the comforts that come along with that. That means snug rooms with sleeping cushions on tatami mat floors, a warm home-like environment in the common quarters, and a welcoming staff that is knowledgeable about the surrounding area of Kyoto. "The room is very spacious. Our son traveled with us and was surprised to see another room with a king size bed on what we thought was a closet. The fridge is big enough to accommodate our daily groceries. Never expected to see a mini-kitchen in the room. Will definitely use this place again."

Awesome hotel accross from Kyoto station

"This hotel is perfect. While it was small, it was still big enough for a family of four. We loved that it was literally right across the street from Koto station which itself is a sight to see with the awesome bridge and all of the architecture in the station itself. It was super easy to get anywhere in town. Also we Uber eats from a Thai restaurant to the room and it was amazing. It’s a really great upscale hotel with a lounge open to all guest with books and tea coffee and matcha!"

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Kawaramachi Jokyoji

"Really nice property with friendly staff. The hotel is located in the perfect area. Lots of shopping and food nearby but it’s just off the Main Street so it’s quiet at night and not too busy just outside. The only downside was we got a room with no view. Would have been nice to actually have a view."
