"Had a good experience overall. The hotel is conveniently located near many eateries and Umekoji stat, making it easy to explore the area. However, there were a few issues. The air conditioning unit has a broken outer part, and the shoji screens were torn. Additionally, the Netflix stopped working after a few days. "The room was a really good size. The building was clean and quiet. It was really nice to have laundry although it would be great if they provided a drying rack. This place is in a quieter neighborhood so definitely count on a lot of walking or using the bus to get around (the bus is very convenient and you can use your Suica card, just note that it's a flat rate of 230 regardless of how far you go). It would be nice to be able to use the balcony at this building but I guess the agreement with...

"Our stay at Nohga Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto was amazing! The hotel in a great area, walking distance to many of the top sights in Kyoto. The breakfast buffet and bakery in the main lobby are a MUST! Their pastries and bread are amazing. "

"Very new and modern hotel. Firm comfortable beds, very nice bathroom, shower and soaking tub. Spacious room with lots of little extras. Great climate control. Fabulous Onsen, spotless. Several new restaurants on the street level inside the building. Great value when booked on the app here."

Lovely stay and well cared for in Kyoto

"Stayed here for 5 nights with my adult children during cherry blossom season. We were so impressed with the hotel and its staff we changed our plans to travel to Osaka, and instead extended our stay in Kyoto two more nights. The hotel is centrally located near great shopping, restaurants, sites, and transportation. The staff is so kind and helpful. The rooms are immaculate and beds are luxuriously comfortable after a day of seeing beautiful Kyoto. Breakfast buffet is delicious and served in a beautiful room. I only wish the hotel bar was open in the evening so we could linger longer, but there are plenty of bars nearby."

"Excellent hotel in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. A stone's throw away from the Umekoji train station and a few minute walk from bus stops. The Family Mart downstairs is very convenient. Room is very spacious for a family of 4. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff was very nice and attentive. Onsen was clean and a good first experience for the kids. Facilities are clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again. "
