"Hotel was clean and as expected for the price. Staff was friendly which makes a difference. Minus one star for the elevator that was out of service, which happens to be the same elevator out of service when I was here last; which was five years ago. "

"It was a beautiful older model hotel, alot of the original structure remains. TVs were outdated, my room could have been cleaner as there was hair left on the hair dryer & some on the sheets. One of the doorman Steve greeted us & was absolutely phenomenal & full of knowledge for our first time in Chicago. The food was ok, nothing to be excited about. The beds were pretty hard & rooms hot without a thermostat. Overall it was a decent stay."

"The RUI is conveniently located by shopping, dinning and all of the attractions you may visit in Chicago. The hotel is clean, the breakfast was great and the lobby bar was a nice place to relax. The room is very clean and has nice amenities. I would stay here again. "
