This is a beautiful building but too crowded with weekend guests to make this a pleasurable experience. Incredibly long,long waits for the elevator and for dining. No taxis in the area make you completely dependent on Uber or Lyft.

This would have been a five star rating, but the 40 minute check-in process was a disappointment. They only had 2 people working the desk on a Friday afternoon, which is probably their busiest time of the week. We loved everything else about the hotel!

Elevators were trash. Completely outdated. My room wasn’t vacuumed. No lock on bathroom door. No pressure on hot water in shower. Shower curtains leaked.

The Palmer House is a beautiful place in the perfect location. Easy walking to parks, the Lake Shore, museums and restaurants. Will definitely choose it again on a trip to Chicago.

There is a timeshare sales desk right in the front desk area. Sales staff pretend to be part of the normal hotel process. They scammed us into a timeshare scheme. We are still trying to get $500 removed from our cc. Avoid this scam!
