"I didn’t like that there was no greeting and did not see anyone while I stayed there to report no lighting in bathroom and no hot water in sink."

"Hotel was well decorated in the main areas - looking fairly newly redone. The service was good. The only issue is the quality of the breakfast buffet is terrible - i mean really terrible. We arrived at breakfast around 9.30 - the eggs were like rubber, sausages the cheapest you can buy, bacon like rubber, instant coffee only. The toast was the highlight, which speaks volumes. Otherwise a great stay."

"Interesting place. Really need a group of friends there to take full advantage of everything on offer from renting the whole house and private dining to having a wild party in one of the great past spaces they have created. Everything very high quality and well designed. "

"Having stayed previously, we booked the Neptune suite, for 3 people and our dog. Breakfast and service were first class. Because we were at the top of the building, the roof blinds were useless, letting in light and not fitted properly, def needs replacing, in both rooms. Not enough storage in the small bathroom, especially for number of people."

"Lovely clean property in a gorgeous location in Salcombe. All the staff were friendly and our room had a partial view of the estuary which was lovely. The parking is a bit off putting as it’s on a steep slope and limited but the staff do take care of that when you arrive and can park your car for you. I had to ask for our beds to be twinned on 3 different occasions. Not the end of the world we still had a lovely stay. Loved the spa facilities which were lovely and clean. The dinner in the...
