"Hotel was well decorated in the main areas - looking fairly newly redone. The service was good. The only issue is the quality of the breakfast buffet is terrible - i mean really terrible. We arrived at breakfast around 9.30 - the eggs were like rubber, sausages the cheapest you can buy, bacon like rubber, instant coffee only. The toast was the highlight, which speaks volumes. Otherwise a great stay."

However, there were a couple of niggles, the TV was really small, old fashioned and not smart so no access to streaming services etc. There was also a surprise charge for daily electricity usage, which wasn’t mentioned during booking, and could really add up if you were staying for a few nights or more. "

"Very quiet hamlet near the river Avon estuary as it discharges into the English channel so very pretty setting. Close to Burgh Island which I could just see the top of from my upstairs bedroom window. Very plain inside the pub; lovely friendly staff; had a main evening meal, not particularly good, very dry fish pie which had been microwaved to death and the following day all three of us had a dicky stomach and the runs. Streptococci no doubt. Over cooked poached eggs for breakfast but...
