"We loved the location, very quiet when we were there. Beautiful setting. Excellent service from reception. Our sea view room was stunning. The whole hotel was immaculate. The spa area was so lovely. Our only feedback is about plant based options at the continental breakfast."

"Lovely clean property in a gorgeous location in Salcombe. All the staff were friendly and our room had a partial view of the estuary which was lovely. The parking is a bit off putting as it’s on a steep slope and limited but the staff do take care of that when you arrive and can park your car for you. I had to ask for our beds to be twinned on 3 different occasions. Not the end of the world we still had a lovely stay. Loved the spa facilities which were lovely and clean. The dinner in the...

"As usual we had a wonderful stay at Gara Rock. We come here a couple of times a year and are never disappointed!! Love it there!"

"Hotel was well decorated in the main areas - looking fairly newly redone. The service was good. The only issue is the quality of the breakfast buffet is terrible - i mean really terrible. We arrived at breakfast around 9.30 - the eggs were like rubber, sausages the cheapest you can buy, bacon like rubber, instant coffee only. The toast was the highlight, which speaks volumes. Otherwise a great stay."

"This is an experience rather than a hotel stay. From the moment we parked we were looked after by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were great, we had suite which was fully furnished in art deco style but with up to date touches; coffee machine. Underfloor heating. "
