"Beautiful hotel and amazing staff (like Megan who was excellent). Made my wife and I feel at home. Megan served us at Breakfast and checked us in and out, all of which was pleasant and easy going. No fuss. Breakfast was excellent, great variety and top quality ingredients. The hotel is refined and in-keeping with the area. Every detail has been thought through. Having stayed four times, we will be returning. "

"It is a beautiful hotel with a great history. All the staff were great. Lovely breakfasts. We were there 4 nights and had one dinner there which was great. We wanted to explore Cheltenham the other nights. Only hiccup was on our third day as elderly we decided to make use of the hotel first class facilities (out door heated swimming pool etc) and the most beautiful and comfy lounge. And although our room was empty at 10am , housekeeping did not service it until 3pm in spite of requests. "

"Lovely warm cosy room on a freezing night. Dinner was a bit chaotic. There were two very very noisy large tables of men, one of which had apparently been the since lunch. They were shouting non stop. The staff moved our (well behaved) table of seven to a quieter spot as nobody could hear themselves speak. The staff were very helpful and I felt a bit sorry for them having to deal with such uncivilised behaviour. Unfortunately the kitchen also had its problems as we had to wait well over an hour...

"Can’t say enough about this place! Posh English Inn with dog friendly pub with many of the locals coming in to dine. Food was excellent for foodies, easily managed food allergies in group, and very courteous. Want a true English experience stay here! The town was lovely, steeped in history and great to walk around for some exercise. "
