"Viang Thapae Resort really is an oasis in this very busy area of Chiang Mai. The resort looks like a tropical island. The rooms are very well appointed. I loved the decor! It was also very clean. The bed was comfortable and A/C was working. There is a small pool that's perfect to cool down on hot days. The staff is super friendly and eager to help. Breakfast was a basic continental style with a few Thai touches. Nothing to write home about, but good and conveniently located in the lovely...

"The hotel is well-located on a small side street. Staff was very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Definitely a little dated, but that's not a big issue. Appreciated the mini fridge and free water. "Stayed 4 nights at Banthai Village in the deluxe room near the pool. It is a cozy boutique hotel away from the bustling streets yet safe and walkable to old city, Chinatown and the night markets. Excellent hotel to enjoy quiet sleep, greenery and staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel provides mosquito repellent but still got bitten outside the room especially during rainy days. Floor in the room can be slippery but slippers are provided. Water pressure from the shower head is inconsistent....

"My partner and I stayed 7 nights at Rustic River Boutique and it became our little home away from home! The girls were so lovely and always helpful. Delicious coffee and tea downstairs from the cafe at the hotel and a gorgeous common area to chill out or do some work. The location was perfect for us and spoilt for choice with local restaurants (highly recommend Ivy). Everything was walkable also or just a short grab. "
