"At first glance, the staff isn’t very welcoming, but after a few days, they become more friendly. Otherwise, the hotel is very good, very clean, very well located… the breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are very comfortable, though they could use darker curtains. Otherwise, the decoration throughout the hotel, in the restaurant and rooms, is very beautiful."

"Stayed 4 nights at Banthai Village in the deluxe room near the pool. It is a cozy boutique hotel away from the bustling streets yet safe and walkable to old city, Chinatown and the night markets. Excellent hotel to enjoy quiet sleep, greenery and staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel provides mosquito repellent but still got bitten outside the room especially during rainy days. Floor in the room can be slippery but slippers are provided. Water pressure from the shower head is inconsistent....

"Ban Chang Tong is lovely quiet hotel with beautiful wooden architecture and an authentic aesthetic. Close walking distance into old Chang Mai city, everything was easy and accessible. The staff were absolutely wonderful, kind and accomodating. I highly recommend :)"
