"The staff of this property were lovely and very welcoming. They gave us lots of water. The breakfast was good and satiating. The room was pretty small and the shower situation was not fully ideal - fine if you do not mind a cold shower that gets water everywhere - overall, you get what you pay for. The location is very convenient and the hotel is nice enough. Would not say it is exactly as shown in pictures. The pool is tiny and mostly shaded and the workout room is 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical....

"This would be my #1 choice anytime I visit Chiang Mae, the location could not be more perfect. On a quiet side street but just a few minutes walk to be in the heart of everything. You are just minutes walk to the city gate and the main road is gorgeous lit up at night and just teaming with vendors at night when they close it to vehicle traffic. "My partner and I stayed 7 nights at Rustic River Boutique and it became our little home away from home! The girls were so lovely and always helpful. Delicious coffee and tea downstairs from the cafe at the hotel and a gorgeous common area to chill out or do some work. The location was perfect for us and spoilt for choice with local restaurants (highly recommend Ivy). Everything was walkable also or just a short grab. "

"Stayed 4 nights at Banthai Village in the deluxe room near the pool. It is a cozy boutique hotel away from the bustling streets yet safe and walkable to old city, Chinatown and the night markets. Excellent hotel to enjoy quiet sleep, greenery and staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel provides mosquito repellent but still got bitten outside the room especially during rainy days. Floor in the room can be slippery but slippers are provided. Water pressure from the shower head is inconsistent....
