Wonderful stay at Melia Chiang Mai. We researched a lot of options before choosing Melia and so pleased we did! Staff could not be more hospitable and friendly, room was impeccably clean. Breakfast buffet offered good options and the Level Lounge was a welcome retreat to revive from walking the local temples and markets!

Everything is good except that the staff is a bit penny pinching and stingy. It did not happen to me but i saw a young couple tried to bring a banana and a muffin for their late-rise child from the breakfast buffet, and a staff stopped them and said that's not allowed. For a 5-star hotel breakfast buffet, i think it's at least not friendly. When i checked in, i was told i will enjoy late-check-out because i had a long stay(8-nights). But when i checked out, they don't agree on this. Finally it's resolved and i didn't pay extra. Overall, the hotel is clean and new, walking distance to everything, it's nice.
