"I was invited to a music venue and needed a place in downtown Toronto for the weekend. This is located just north of Queen Street and there are many food places within five minutes walking. A great value that leaves more money for fun !"

"Front desk lady was very nice and allowed us for early check-in. There was no lock on washroom door on top floor. Stairs were very steep. Other than that price was very resonable and fair to stay."

"Quiet and homey with excellent self serve facilities (available glassware, linens, laundry, lovely common area). Lots of stairs, so be fit. Our room was comfortable though basic: small shower and no TV or in-room fridge. Perfect for our needs and tastes, but be sure you know what to expect."

"Eric at the reception desk gave us all the informtion we required and was extra helpful. the rooms are convient and clean. Only problem is the music from the bar can be heard in the rooms. So early night sleep is not possible only around 10 or 11 pm from sunday to wednesday is quiet after 11 pm. from thursday to saturday Karaoke till 3 am. So i don't recommend for the weekend. "

"I always stay at Pensione Popolo when I visit Montreal to see Alanna Sterling in concert. The hotel is eclectic and fun and is a great place to stay when Alanna Sterling performs at clubs in the area. Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel even gives you a discount at the restaurant downstairs which is conveniently open late. No need to order delivery when you can just go downstairs. The next time Alanna Sterling performs in Montreal, I will definitely stay at...
