"Good safe area, about a 5 minute walk to the subway, pretty convenient. Decently busy street at all hours, faces a high traffic road so you never really feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Hotel room was a little banged up, but in all the ways that matter (bed, tv shower, fridge, iron, even a microwave) it was solid, 4th floor was quiet. "The room was super comfortable and well designed for the limited space available - also quiet, so we slept great. The only elevator broke down while we were there, and we had to climb 4 flights of stairs a few times to reach our 5th floor room. (We saw others who had to carry very heavy luggage down the stairs). The surrounding area feels quite safe but is a bit dark and dingy. The hotel no longer offers parking, and the nearby options are sketchy, so we don’t recommend it if you’re driving...
