"Overall, the property is wonderful. The rooms are cozy and well -decorated. We appreciated the microwave, refrigerator, coffee amenities and the hot tub. I gave a 4 for staff and service because we arrived at 3pm for check-in and no one was available to check us in or answering the phone. I communicated that we would be arriving during the check-in time slot. We planned to dash into the park to see the Kilauea eruption upon arrival. Other than that- communication was great during our stay. "

"We had a good stay at Magic Skies. The property seemed to have a nice atmosphere with the different spaces and room themes though there were some areas undergoing maintenance at the time of our stay. We didn’t end up having the breakfast service offered but it seemed reasonable. Though overall was an enjoyable stay with a good location."

"The experience of staying at Kalani Oceanside Retreat was very relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed the yoga class we signed up for very much. "This is the real Hawaii! The property is located in a relatively remote area about 30 minutes south of Pahoa. Beautiful setting in the middle of a forest not too far from the beach. Isaac Hale Park is within walking distance and although the beach isn’t very safe for swimming there is a pond there that you can swim in. The accommodations are primitive and like camping but Mango Cabin was very spacious and the beds were VERY comfy. It is off-grid but there is electricity to the cabins. The cabins...
