"Great little place tucked away from the busier Hilo area. Probably a bit better suited for 4 than 5 given the overall size and having to use an air mattress. Owners were nice and let my kids feed the koi, which was exciting for them. "

"We loved our few days in this beautiful jungle setting. We enjoyed our time away from the hustle and bustle of the city and resorts and the privacy of the jungle setting. The screened in lanai was a wonderful place to relax and listen to all the birds, frogs and rain. The inside of the cabin was comfortable and cozy with ceiling fans that keep the temperature tolerable. The location between Hilo and Volcanoes National Park is great with it being about a 30 min drive to either place.We only had a few minor complaints/annoyances. The kitchen could be better stocked as we couldn’t find any baking pans or dishes, there wasn’t any salt, and for the life of us we couldn’t get the Keurig to work. We have a lot of experience with Keurigs, but the reusable cup would not work with the machine. There is a regular coffee pot. There are also only metal spatulas provided to use with the nonstick pans. It also seems as though it’s been awhile since the cabin has had a deep clean to get rid of cobwebs and dust. Overall, we would recommend staying here to our friends, but those few improvements would have made our stay a little more enjoyable."

"My husband and I have returned to this charming old estate cottage several times, preferring it to the many condos on the island. Being set far back from the road by the huge lawn and trees, it is so quiet! (Aside from the chickens and frogs). Lisa, the onsite manager is readily available and friendly. Not far from Volcanoes National Park."

"We had 6 adults and 3 kids in our group, and this place had plenty of space for us to spread out. The upstairs kitchen has a gorgeous view stretching out to the ocean. It leads out to a nice lanai with the same view and plenty of seating. The carport is a large outdoor living area where lots of folks can gather and hangout. 5 minute drive from Kaleos which was great when we were too tired to cook!"

"The house was very unique and interesting, and with a lot of space. It was also close to the ocean which made it nice. The cochi frogs were kind of loud at night but it wasn't a problem for me at all. "
