"We loved loved this property. It was clean, loved the fact they offered house slippers as well as outside slippers. We spent more time out on our full beautiful balcony more than in room. Beautiful landscaping. You can tell they take pride in the rental home. It’s was quiet and laid back for my husband and I. Maid service was awesome. "I stayed at Aaron's cottage for two nights and it was a great experience. The cottage was cozy, equipped with all the amenities you could need. It had AC, fans, hot water, a comfortable bed, a kitchenette and full bathroom. The place is easy to find and there is a nice beach within walking distance. The place is ideal for staying in the Hilo area or for day trips to Volcanoes National Park, or drive to the top of Mauna Kea (4WD required). "We stayed for 4 days. Had a great time. The room had an excellent view of Hilo Bay and we spent a lot of time on the balcony. Staff were great. Room was clean. The lobby had a great vibe in the evening and the free drink coupons offered to guests was a great perk. The hotel is under some renovation but that didn’t impact our enjoyment. "

"The staff was so friendly. There were lots of animals: peacocks, cats, frogs, geese. We loved it! We booked it to be closer to Volcanoes National Park, without realizing there was no road that cuts across. We had to go amidst to Hilo in order to go back down to the Volcanoes, so it wasn't the most convenient, but we loved the vibe!"

"Stayed here 20 years ago after Leon Russell concert at Palace Theatre. Still Charming, old style Hawaii. Took awhile for hot water to heat, cool water was invigorating. Grateful for fan in room. It’d been better if ceiling fan’s bright light was on different switch. "

Such a cool place!

"My family of 4 loved this rustic home. The property is gorgeous and we loved all the frogs, birds and sounds of nature. It’s secluded and private, but not too far from all the sights of the island. Plenty of drinking water was provided, as well as all other kitchen and bath amenities to make our stay comfortable. The screened in porch was a perfect hangout. Linda was a great host and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Beautiful spacious home tucked away 30 minutes from Hilo and 30 minutes from the Volcano National Park. We traveled the entire island and enjoyed the cool and quiet climate of this home. Listing very accurate with lots of space. Directions to home and access was on point. "

"My friend and I had a great weekend staying in this home in Mountain View, a Quick 15-20 minute drive to Volcanoes or the grocery store. The house was nice and breezy when the windows were open and was a great place to relax after a day of hiking. We cooked many meals easily with cooking items available in the rental. Overall a comfortable and easy stay! "
