"I’ve been to many capsules across Japan and my stay here was at the too. Yes, I’ve stayed in Kyoto, Osaka, but wanted to spend a few days in Ōtsu and experience a slower pace and so glad I did! The reviews on Google and Orbitz rated The Calendar high so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. However, I do need to mention if you are sensitive to smell you might notice the slight scent of smoke. The entire capsule is non-smoking, however there is a smoking room, that when smokers return it...

"Hotel itself has a great restaurant inside and all the smaller ammenities you would need for a short or long stay. Room was comfortable for two people, but the walls are thin so just know that you will hear people from time to time. Lucky to have the place to stay at overall. "

"The property is located a short walk from the station, and is fully air conditioned. It advertises a “full breakfast” but in reality it’s just bread and jams, not a full continental breakfast, so be careful of that. You’re provided with a fairly large lock box for your valuables and the bedding is very soft."
