"Staff went far beyond what we expected. Every single person was always accommodating and helpful. The room was magnificent. In hindsight I think a regular tub would have been enough. The huge ceramic outside tub was beautiful, but being from California and drought conditions I felt guilty filling up the huge tub every night. "This is a very traditional ryokan experience and I had a wonderful time!!! I stayed 2 nights after some time in Tokyo and the vibes were immaculate. Upon arrival you take off your shoes and are greeted, given a tour of the place, escorted to your assigned room, and then given a welcome matcha! They serve you a traditional Japanese breakfast that differs every morning (you book this in advance when you arrive) The bath/shower area is shared but you have to reserve a time slot to utilize it...

"A great Ryokan in the city! Bonus: a renovated Onsen! Rooms were traditional and clean. Not your western experience as there are no beds or in-room shower, but we slept like a baby! Staff super friendly. Highly recommended!"

"The hospitality here was on another level, staff was so sweet and lovely. Anytime we came in or out of the ryokan, they would help us take out/put away our shoes.
