"Lovely room although a little conscious of walking around too much as the floor really creaks in places and I j own how annoying it is when you are the person staying below. A broken window has been poorly fixed with wood leaving a gap of around 7mm at the bottom. Had asked for a quiet room which it is until the birds start singing at 5 am."

Drinking and dining areas were pleasant with a variety of seating options, service was pleasant and quick. Menu was/is interesting and varied and food was well cooked and presented. Good breakfasts too. We were there for two nights to attend a nearby event and can wholeheartedly recommend The Cocked Hat 😁"

"The location was great and perfect for our needs. The bedroom was large and in good condition. However, the bed and pillows were far too hard for us and the room was extremely hot. We did try to turn the heating down but this didn't seem possible. The food in the restaurant dinner and breakfast, was average. However, all of the staff were friendly."
