"This hotel is perfect. While it was small, it was still big enough for a family of four. We loved that it was literally right across the street from Koto station which itself is a sight to see with the awesome bridge and all of the architecture in the station itself. It was super easy to get anywhere in town. Also we Uber eats from a Thai restaurant to the room and it was amazing. It’s a really great upscale hotel with a lounge open to all guest with books and tea coffee and matcha!"

"This is a very nice property. It has a lot of foreign travelers. We met many people in a tour group from Britain where we are from the USA. I really enjoyed the breakfast atmosphere. It’s quite relaxing and they played classical music. The breakfast was excellent, except the omelette was not well cooked. I don’t know if it’s just the recipe because every omelette is cooked the same way with egg still liquidy. My booking has free upgrade when available and even though they did upgrade my room, they were trying to make me pay for the upgrade. Also, the upgraded room didn’t have the normal heated toilet seat with soft-close. So, I’m not sure if they gave us a room with a toilet that isn’t fully functional."

"The Granvia is an excellent hotel if you are coming into Kyoto on the Shinkansen. It is located right in Kyoto Station and is easily walkable to get there with luggage. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we are in Kyoto."
