"Beautiful location on the banks of the Uji River. The walks we took along the river with the lovely scenery and autumn leaves were truly memorable. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and functional, and the balcony overlooking the river was wonderful. Really appreciate the hot bath after a cold day out. "There were some stains on the bed skirt (looked like lipstick) and some dust between the sheets. But overall very clean. Front desk was availabile 24hrs and were very helpful and resourceful. Very nice and big room."

"This was our favourite hotel of our trip. The outside is fairly grand, although it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There is a couple of convenience stores within a ten-minute walk, but not really any restaurants we could see. There are other grand hotels in the vicinity.
