"My wife and I stayed at the Rambler for a long weekend away. We went to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and the Old Town Trolley Tour. The Rambler’s location was perfect! About 15 minutes from downtown San Diego meant we were not going to be disrupted by a lot of noise (like planes landing and taking off) but still close enough that a quick drive got us to everything. "The property is practically trashed, broken doors, furniture, the toilet was loose, the manager is awesome but the hotel looks like abandoned or vandalized definitely not coming back"

"The price was very reasonable for San Diego. The staff at the front desk and the maids were extremely courteous and helpful. The location was convenient and although safe, not the best part of town. The room was very clean. The mattress was new and firm. Stayed for nine days in February 2025. Complimentary breakfast (while the room was being renovated) consisted of brown bags for each guest containing orange juice, banana or orange, yogurt, Jimmy Dean sausage sandwich, pastry, bottle of water and protein bar. Not the del Coronado hotel but would definitely stay there again."
