"Avania is a short walk from the beach. The lobby and rooms have all been updated and redecorated. Our room on the ground floor had a private patio with two chairs and a small table. Shower was great and easy to use, though bathroom is small. Breakfast room is light and airy with loads of seating and good food. We would stay there again!!"

"Best value in the area. Definitely odd people coming and going--a woman walking a rooster--but never felt unsafe. Very convenient for travel. Room key stopped working each morning which was a pain and unexplainable. Walls and floors are quite thin--you could hear a lot in adjacent rooms."

"You get what you pay for here. Its nothing special, but if you're just looking for a place to lay your head at night it's perfectly suitable. Dish TV was nice for the minimal time that was spent in the room. Yes the surrounding area is slightly sketchy but nothing that you wouldn't see in any other city where homeless and drug use is prevelant. "
