"Overall the property is a bit run down. There were buckets in the halls for leaking water. The door to my balcony was rickety and slightly ajar when I arrived. Heater was extremely loud. Also loud were my neighbors who I could hear through the wall all night. The gym was small but had nice machines. Pool was small. My room was an ok size but the bathroom is in desperate need of a revamp. Bed is comfortable. Stayed on the “hills view” side which really means you see the parking lot. "

"From all the hotels I have stayed, the breakfast here is the bomb! I loved the vegetarian options, the fresh cut up fruit, the waffle machines (x2), the continuous refills, the eating area was kept clean, loved the various pastry options (gluten-free included), I can just taste the freshness. Thank you for this! I will be staying here again and will be my first choice next time I need to stay in Oakland, CA."

"Our 5th floor room had lovely view of san francisco! Bed very comfortable. Loved all the history. Highly walkable location. Gorgeous pool. Very nice free breakfast. "

"The young lady at the front desk seemed miserable and unapproachable. Luis, was great! He worked the breakfast shift on Christmas Eve. The suite I stayed in was very dated. The suite was not cleaned upon my arrival. Arm chair, sofa and coffee table was stained, dirty and old. I had to buy 3 Glade air fresheners to get rid of old smells. I did have a good time here but that front desk worker as I mentioned above was not helpful and needs to be retrained . "
