"Parking for Monteverde cloud forest is right in front of the hotel. Hotel is deep inside with no convenience stores in walkable distance. Hotels.com had incorrect location listed which made us go in circles to find the place. We used yoga room for yoga. They have kitchen. Road the hotel is terrible with many potholes. Driving in rain was terrible experience specifically when you are coming for the first time and have incorrect directions. "

"Beautiful location, stunning mountain views and the clouds just roll on in to your balcony. Walking distance to some cool places and restaurants. They have a good shuttle service to the forest. Only feedback is some of the staffs attitudes, 2 of the employees were helpful, friendly and kind. The rest seemed snobby and almost judgemental. Could've been 5 stars if it weren't for that. We were WELL AWARE of our checkout time, yet walked by the front desk and stated we are going to pack. 5 minutes...

"As a female traveller, I felt completely safe here and would definitely stay again if I'm ever back in Monteverde. Great place for a solo traveller with a communal kitchen to help keep down expenses of eating out. WiFi in all the rooms. Staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful 😊 My only complaint would be the floors in my room hadn't been cleaned (but in fairness it's a 2 star hostel, not a 5 star hotel). "The staff, breakfast, and location were great, and the nearby capuchin monkeys and wildlife were delightful. But… a hotel has one main job to do: provide a comfortable bed and pillow for a good night’s rest. Our three-night stay wasn’t great. Bed and pillows didn’t cut it. We liked the help with getting transportation and an excursion to the Cloud Forest Reserve, but we were always dreading the night’s sleep. If you’re going to drive all the way to Monteverde, stay somewhere more comfortable."
