"We stayed in a junior suite plus with a beautiful view of the volcano. Our patio looked out on a gorgeous manicured garden. Every staff member we met was friendly, kind and helpful. Although there are no cooking facilities, there is a fairly good size fridge which came in handy. We were able to purchase simple lunch ingredients from the Maxi Pali that we took with us on hikes. Would recommend Arenal 1968 and El Mirador Silencio hikes. Also loved the Bogarin Trail Sloth tour, the night tour at Arenal oasis, the free hot springs, and zip lining and walking the hanging bridges at Sky Adventures. "

"Staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet was really good. Rooms are cleaned everyday and they’re big. For a bird lover, I saw so many different varieties, especially around the lake. It’s very scenic, as well. We had a great experience."

"Amazing place to stay. I was in Costa Rica for a month and stayed several places, this one by far was the cleanest of them all. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms spacious and stunning. Wildlife all around, the views and the food are also wonderful. I would love to come back and was sad I only got to stay 2 nights here. would recommend to anyone. 5 stars all around."

"Everything was perfect. The only thing I would like to mention is that the receptionist only recommended their transportation when we wanted to head out to town instead of giving us the option between their transportation and Uber. Their transportation fee was $28 plus tax and Uber was $7. Other than that, this is a really great resort. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the views are AMAZING! "Staying at the Monteverde Lodge was one of the highlights of our CR trip. The setting with the jungle/window outside the property was tranquil. The food is amazing! Everything was presented beautifully. They set us up on several awesome tours with Rafael and we saw lots of wildlife we would never see on our own. The gardens and trails are gorgeous. We even saw a pack of capuchin monkeys climbing over the roof when we left. The staff did everything possible to ensure an excellent stay."
