"This hotel was conveniently located for getting into Manhattan with a 8-10 min walk to the subways. There were plenty of restaurants close by although many of them did close early. There were general stores within walking distance too. It was a good clean base for sightseeing in New York. The area around might feel a little unsafe late at night if I was a lonely female however there were plenty of solo people walking in the area at night too. We had a fridge in our room and a balcony to sit out...

"This positives of the review are without a doubt due to the great staff that this hotel is lucky enough to have. You can tell folks work very hard here. The downstairs lobby area is extremely clean, and really so are the rooms. It is the CONDITION of the rooms that are disappointing. Wallpaper falling off the walls, stained and jagged and bumpy carpet, few breakfast items, etc. THIS is in no part the fault of the staff who keeps this place as clean as possible. OWNER should buy some more towels,...

"We were there over Spring Break and there were many families with kids (like we were). The front desk manager and staff were SO accommodating. There were several on-site events throughout the week (many in partnership w/ the Aquarium next door) that catered to the many kids staying there. Would love to return. "
