Nothing but great things to say about this hotel. Best value/deal you’re gonna find for a hotel in the city. Clean and updated rooms, friendly staff and great location. Only a couple minute walk from subway station, plus a Citibike rental station right outside hotel as well. Rooms are clean and updated, housekeeping cleaned room frequently as well.

If it weren’t for the staff at this hotel—particularly Jessica and Rocio—I would have given it just one star. They were kind, helpful, and the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the room itself was poorly maintained: there was no trash can, only one roll of toilet paper, no shower curtain (which led to water all over the bathroom floor), and no refrigerator.

The area was not great, but close to a train. Just a very low tier hotel. I feel a bit deceived over the experience. I don't plan on staying here. Nice front desk person, but the hotel itself wasn't great.

The room was good for what we were there for but basic necessities were missing unfortunately. We had no trash can, no remote, and no mini fridge. I also had asked for extra pillows and blankets when booking and never received them. The people that work there are nice I just fear it’s a little unfinished.

The staff are so rude here … everything looks so old and used my room had dead roaches right next to the toilet it was very unpleasant. Also asked for new towels and they was so rude about it .. no toothbrush not toothpaste no lotion or soap this hotel is really a scam

The room was very basic, which was fine. However, the bathroom floor in apartment 407 is off and constantly squeaks, and the shower set up just doesn't make sense. The floor gets soaking wet every time someone takes a shower because the wall is just a bit short to prohibit water from spraying beyond it. It also would be nice if the toilet had a toilet seat cover. Quite a few of our possessions were very close to falling into the toilet because there is no cover. The window didn't have a screen in it, and some of the lights didn't work, making the room kinda dark after sunset. That being said, we had a great time and were happy to find somewhere so affordable right in the middle of everything.

Rep behind the desk was very helpful. When I got to my room. the floor was sticky, there were no trashcans nor any hand wash in the dispenser. The shower only has 1/2 a door so the steam/warmth cannot be insulated when you are taking a shower. The final straw was when I saw a roach crawl across the table. I packed up my bag and requested a new room which the desk rep. gave me and apologized. It was an upgrade which was great because it had a refrigerator and I folded up my coat and put in there in case there were anymore pests scurrying around and I kept my bag zipped up with my clothes inside.

The property is in a good location. It's a bit loud (you can hear everything from the streets even with the windows closed). The big problem is with the front desk staff. We booked 2 weeks in advance and when we arrived within the check-in time window they claimed they couldn't find our reservation and had no rooms due to overbooking. Then they found our reservation, but claimed it was the next day despite clear evidence to the contrary from our expedia booking. They tried to tell us they had no rooms multiple times, then hedged a bit, then asked to see my ID, then said they might have a room, and then finally gave us a room. The story from the people at the front desk kept changing, and the whole thing felt very shady/sketchy. That night someone trued to enter our room, and persisted for a couple of minutes before giving up. The next day we had to stick around the hotel because they wanted to move us to a different room, but couldn't guarantee us a room if we left and came back later in the day. By 2 pm we finally got our room for the week. The rest of the week was fine, but I would never book here again because reservations are meaningless to the hotel.

I liked the simplicity of the property, very clean, the bed was CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE - that's huge for me. HOWEVER, the shower was spilled to accommodate for someone using a wheelchair however the inside of the stahl was not sloped so therefore anytime I took a normal shower water would spill out onto the whole bathroom floor clear to the base of the toilet. I did mention this to the staff who offered to switch me rooms I did initially try that only to see that the bathroom was constructed the same way so I had told them that I would have the same issue and I'll just stay in the same room to not complicate matters but they needed to be aware. I'd ask for extra towels and I tried to create almost a barrier at the base of my shower to attempt to keep the water from spilling out. There was a shower curtain however the shower curtain did not reach to the bottom of the floor if it would have I think it would have contained the water. Other than that the only other suggestion I would have is to have a microwave a mini fridge and a coffee pot in the room. They did have some things in their basement but at the end of the day I was so tired for my travels that I really just wanted to have these conveniences in my room. Other than that the staff was really friendly everything was super clean it is not in the best neighborhood but as a single female traveler I felt fine, nobody bothered me. The comfort of the bed is what absolutely amaze me I had the best night's sleep.
