"This was our favourite hotel of our trip. The outside is fairly grand, although it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There is a couple of convenience stores within a ten-minute walk, but not really any restaurants we could see. There are other grand hotels in the vicinity. They were loud, drunk, rude, and made thenstay less enjoyable. This hotel should review it's travel partners and better vet the groups coming in. The area is good but too many Gaijin tourists who are ruining Kyoto with there boorish behavior. I feel sorry for the locals."
