"Beautiful property! The kaiseiki meal was top notch, the onsens were beautiful. I just wish the inside baths could have differing temperatures instead of having similar temperatures (would have been nice if one was even hotter). "

The hotel is conveniently located near the the Hakone Ropeway - Togendai Station as well as the Hakone Shrine. Guests can take the ropeway to Owakudani to experience the famous view of Mt. Fuji, hot spring boiled black eggs and souvenir shops, or go further into nearby town Gora where there are many shops and museums. It is also located near Hakone-en, where there is snow sledding and an aquarium for family fun. There is also another ropeway heading up the mountain to a shrine and panoramic view. "This hotel was my favorite out of the 4 we stayed in during our Japan trip. The beds were comfortable, bathroom had all we needed and the balcony gave us the most amazing view in the morning, definitely get a room facing the water and mountain. We could see the Pirate ship as well from our room. I loved that the booking came with buffet meals- fantastic options. I loved our stay in Hakone and this hotel. They even had a feared outdoor foot bath to rest your feet after walking. You could use there onsen or book a private one. So many extras on the property. Just an overall amazing stay during our trip."

"We were a family with young children and stayed at Villa B, which was a standalone 3-floor loft-style apartment. It worked really well for us - bedroom with 2 queen-sized beds and ensuite bathroom (including bathtub, washing machine and heater for clothes drying). The second "storey" was a small but well-equipped kitchenette, with a seating area. On the third "storey" was a loft with two sets of futons available. Villa A is closest to the road so we did hear the occasional vehicle passing by but otherwise the area is pretty quiet. The walls/floors are thin so if you do stay in Villas E, G and I, you probably would be subjected to your upstairs neighbours' noise."

"The room is spacious. No elevator, it's can be tough to carry heavy luggage up and down. There's only public bath, no private shower. It's a quiet area, most stores and restaurants are closed after 5 pm, and before 9 am. Short distance from buses, but a bit challenging for walking with luggage, and good luck if you can find a taxi in the area. "

"This small hotel is cozy. The onsen is beautiful & very enjoyable because it’s private. You have the option of eating at two nearby restaurants with free transportation (included in your meal) . But everything is really far away and either requires 30 min of walking or a minimum of one hour on bus. "
