"We had a fantastic stay at this property. The location can’t be better: near the main shopping/restaurants in the area and the train station. Happy we stayed here rather than up in Gora, which would have made travel and food more difficult. We got a private bath, which we enjoyed. We also splurged on the kaiseiki meal, which we enjoyed immensely. Breakfast was also very good: more western options than we expected. We had the updated Japanese/Western room and thought it was luxurious. I’ve seen others complain thing were worn and old-fashioned but we didn’t really find that the case. Highly recommended "

"If you want a very quiet remote place to stay with great views of Lake Ashi and Mt Fuji this is the place to stay. The bus station is a 5 min walk if that. "
