The room was lovely and spacious not to mention cleaned to a high standard. The area where the hotel is situated is nice and quiet with very little noise. "Rating based entirely on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the fantastic spa facilities. There was work going on while we were there which was a minor inconvenience but the room we stayed in was the real let down. Dated and uncared for. The bathroom was poorly finished and the shower was not the cleanest. The flooring was lifting and squishy in places and the room itself smelt of damp. "We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The pool was fantastic for children and open from 7-7. A lovely touch to have a child’s welcome pack. The duck food was a lovely idea too and our daughter really enjoyed it. A great base to explore with the aquarium, steam boat and steam train on the doorstep. About to 10-20mins from other shops. "

A great birthday getaway. Just a shame that they feel the need to charge for parking. Would certainly recommend Rothay Garden and hope to return in the future."
