"I really enjoyed the old Florida vibe here. I was surprised at the ashtrays on the tables outside each room, but we never had a neighbor so smokers weren’t a problem. The bed was great, one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. Being on/ near the lake was great for an evening wind down. There are charcoal grills available in the ‘quad’ area. Also a fire pit, pool, and several outdoor activities. The kitchen was lacking, it had the basics, but barely. If you go and plan to cook at home, pack your own...

"Everything was great!! Nancy had a small welcome basket for us which was a nice treat since we got in late! She worked well and responded extremely fast to any questions or requests. "We were a group of 4 rowers up from Miami. This was a modest but well-equipped cottage. Host was great, very responsive and helpful. Kitchen is nice, with most things you would need including utensils, spices, sugar and the like. Bedrooms are small, with 2 having bunk beds and sharing a bath. Baths were remodeled but when 4 sweaty athletes come back and need to shower at once before dinner, hot water ran out.
