"The property feels like it has been renovated recently and it well cared for. The surrounding area is quick to freeway access. We tried walking a few places and I would not recommend it. While the distance seems manageable the city infrastructure and traffic are not pedestrian friendly, parking was $40 extra per day so factor that in a well. "

"I liked my stay! I stayed in a beautiful balcony room facing the pool. Lounged all day with the window open listening to the breeze as I got ready for my night at the theater. The room was clean and spacious, and the noise complaints I had read really didn't bother me as it was a quiet night I suppose. I wish I had brought swim suit as the few people in the pool and hot tub made me incredibly jealous, even though it was a chilly night the pool seemed to heated and warm enough to get in. My one complaint was that I had wanted to eat dinner and have drinks in the hotel restaurant but it was closed! On a Saturday night i was kind of shocked that it was. They had the pool bar open and we decided to have a drink there which was.. okay, the staff very nice but it was so awkward because they kind of just stared at you, I kept thinking to myself "say hi! your working in customer service" i was always the first one to engage in a hello first which just made me feel uneasy and I wanted to just finish my drink and the get out of there. Other than that experience, I would stay here again and again, just maybe make reservations for dinner and drinks elsewhere ahead of time."

"This was my first time staying at Comfort Inn by downtown San Diego with my family and we absolutely loved it! It was super clean, our beds were beautifully made up and so comfortable! We ordered pizza from Little Italy and they delivered it in the rain! My boys were very happy! In the morning we went downstairs to eat our continental breakfast, and that was an amazing experience because they had and served everything that you can think of! We will definitely be back this summer and every time that we go to San Diego!"
