We stay for a water polo tournament at UCSD. The Marriott is very close. Westgate mall is a block away with several dining options as well as shopping. Also a small strip mall right there with Starbucks & a liquor store.

We were in the area for a sports tournament. The facilities were safe and many people from same tournament at hotel. Which was convenient and fun for the participants. I had issue with car in valet and hotel handled the issue wonderfully. Staff was friendly and efficient
