"This is a historic hotel inside the city walls in Chester. It was built in 1535. The lobby pub and restaurant were unique with great atmosphere. Elderly people will have great difficulty using the steep stairs to the 3rd level rooms, but we enjoyed this hotel greatly!!"

"Beautiful well thought out rooms. Well decorated and spotlessly clean. Our king room had a slipper bath with privacy screen and a beautiful wetroom with twin sinks ,shower, toilet and lovely fluffy towels. The Lion and Swan is in Congleton town center, with free car parking a large dining lounge area, restaurant and bar. "Nice hotel set in lovely countryside, very friendly staff. Evening meal was good, although it was a very quiet period which led to no deserts being available which was a bit of a let down. All that being said we had a pleasant stay."
