Great hotel. Modern, convenient, good food in the restaurant. Good Wi-Fi and internet connectivity. Easy drive to Manchester airport. My first choice now when I’m in the country to visit family in the area. The Keele university campus is nice to walk around and there’s a grocery store within walking distance on campus.
The hotel is nice and new, very clean. Checking in and out was no problem.
The shower was quite weak though and the room very warm, even with the heating switched off. The Aircon didn't really do anything apart from make a noise.
We were most disappointed with the breakfast though. The selection was good enough and the food tasty enough, but we prefer our full English breakfasts to be hot, or at least warmer than 'quite warm'.
The tables and chairs in the breakfast room are not right for the purpose. The chairs very low and the table normal height, so not a great eating position.
If you just need a bed for the night, it's fine, but for the cost we expected a higher calibre all round.
The hotel is very new, so the facilities are spotless. Staff was very welcoming on reception, and the room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable (although I found the pillows a bit too big), and I had a good night's sleep. The only thing I didn't like is that the curtains were short which allowed sunlight to come through from below the windowsill.
Staff were friendly and polite and helpful.
The family room was large, clean and comfy. Not so keen on the glass walled bathroom, a little uncomfortable for my daughters.
A quiet, out of the way hotel.
Friendly staff. Smart hotel in good condition. Good breakfast. The only thing I didn't like was that the window in the room could not be opened.

Awful Marriott hotel - worst breakfast ever! AVOID
This is the most basic hotel you can imagine
It’s barely 3 star
While we don’t use holiday inns or premier inns I’m sure their quality would be better - this is certainly NOT Marriott standard
Breakfast was a total disgrace - shortage of staff and those serving were simply awful
Food quality and selection VERY poor indeed - scrambled eggs looked like they were made from powdered eggs and cheaper low quality produce on offer
One of our party had nut allergy - staff couldnt even be bothered to help so she didn’t eat anything
