Second stay at this hotel and would return. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the staff are excellent. The food was very good.

Decent clean room if a bit dated. Staff were polite but brisk. Breakfast was good but lacking variety. Basic fry up with bacon sausages eggs beans and hasbrowns. Greater fruit and healthy options would have been appreciated.

The room was great and the breakfast was phenomenal! The bed seemed a bit lumpy but we slept great! The whole building has a medieval charm.

Ok stay. Room was adequate but needed better lighting and bigger single beds. The bathroom was very dated and shower was just a mixer tap style shower with poor water pressure. Breakfast was ok but busy and needed to be better laid out. The gym and spa was very good. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Just needs some refurbishing to make it better.

Room was spacious and had a good size balcony with a view over the canal. Staff were very good.The only downsides were the difficulty in getting to the car park and also, the queue for breakfast. Would stay again though.

Breakfast is the only thing that lets it down a bit, bacon is very fatty and needs improving also possibly more choice required, but this is the only issue we had. We’ve stayed here quite a few times & always enjoy it . Just needs breakfast tweaking a bit!

Very disappointed. Supposed ‘business class’ room was very tired and really not very clean. Bed was comfy but pillows were not. Asked for replacement pillows which either did not arrive or were just the same as the originals. Generally in need of a complete refurbishment. Downstairs was a bit better but very basic and also quite tired. One lift which seemed to be very temperamental. The staff were nice and efficient- the only reason I’m not giving 1 star across the board. I want to upload some real pictures to justify my comments but don’t seem to be able to.

We stayed in a beautiful triple room on the 5th floor that looked like it had been recently refurbished. Spacious and all the facilities needed including tea, coffee and biscuits. Efficient check in. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely bar area. Decent breakfast.

Breakfast wasn't up to much, my mum was nearly trapped in lift doors, as they shut on her luckily a lovely couple managed to protect her from the lift door. Room very comfortable and clean. Staff excellent customer service.
