"Overall the property was great for the price. It’s a budget motel and it exceeded expectations for the typical budget motel. The room was clean, the bed was cozy, room was serviced daily and it was in a great location. The Waffle House next door is a plus as there is no breakfast. Downside is the bathtub filled up with water while showering, which is kinda gross to be standing in the water as your showering. (Minor problem) I didn’t even notify the front desk as this wasn’t the end of the world...

If I had anything to offer some advice on it would be this, when you give the guest a frozen bfast sandwich/burrito you might want to actually tell them how long they need to cook it for in the microwave. I got mine and the writing on the packaging was so small it was almost impossible to read. Needless to say it was not edible afterwards and I just settled for some grits and a muffin. "

"This property is amazing! My wife and I wanted a place to get away with a downtown that is walkable for shopping, dining and drinks Staunton is great. The staff at Blackburn is the best, especially Amber! Live the history of this resort and we can’t wait until more of the renovations are complete. Will definitely be back!"

"Historic charm"

"Hotel was very clean, good breakfast, and great location relative to the rest of asheville. The lobby, gym, washer/dryer, and breakfast area are all on the second floor so weren't affected by the hurricane. The walkway into the hotel had a bunch of plywood scaffolding as of late February 2025, but that was the only damage I saw to the structure. The rest of Biltmore Village has a lot of damage still, but I felt safe here and loved the 4 minute drive to the Biltmore, and 8 minute drive downtown....
